Course Description
Start your journey in historic building preservation
Through this introductory course, you will learn the history, theory and practice of historic preservation in the United States, with emphasis on the contemporary landscape of the field, including preservation planning, law, public programs and professional practice. The course includes a live component that will meet via Zoom and awards CEUs upon successful completion.

Who should take this course?

Anyone 18 years or older interested in learning about historic preservation in the United States

Anyone pursuing the Historic Preservation Certificate program

Architects, planners, design professionals or others currently working in related fields needing to earn continuing education units (CEUs) for licensure or other professional development
