Course Description

Ready to stop watching tutorials and start writing code?
IN-PERSON WORKSHOP
Also available live via ZOOM
Monday, June 8, 2026 — 9:00-Noon PT
In this half-day intensive, you’ll transform your laptop into a professional coding workstation and master the core logic behind the world’s most popular programming language. We skip the fluff and dive straight into the tools the pros use—bridging the gap between theory and actual development.
What You’ll Learn:
- Dev Stack: Build your environment from scratch using Anaconda for virtual environments and VS Code for development.
- Demystifying the Tech: Finally understand how the Python Interpreter, your terminal, and a text editor actually talk to each other.
- Building Blocks: Code your first scripts using variables, conditional logic, and loops.
- Data & Beyond: Explore essential data structures and see why Python’s massive library ecosystem makes it the "Swiss Army Knife" of technology.
Course Logistics:
- FORMAT: Hybrid (Simultaneous Live In-Person & Online Zoom session).
- DURATION: 1/2 Day
- REQUIREMENTS: Bring your own laptop for the in-person session.
