Course Description
By successful completion of this course, youth will learn:
- Understand the basic concepts of reproduction and puberty in livestock
- Identify major male and female reproductive structures and functions in beef, sheep, swine, and goats
- Explain the benefits of crossbreeding for each species
- Understand basic genetic concepts and heritability of traits
- To apply what they've learned through a 4-H project
