EDCIX505.EARTH2VENUS - NESSP Earth to Venus Companion Course
Course Description
This professional development course is designed for both formal and informal educators, offering dynamic training using student-centered, NASA-inspired materials focused on a mission from Earth to Venus. The program integrates authentic NASA science into classrooms and out-of-school learning environments, with lesson plans aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in both science and engineering practices.
The course is highly flexible, allowing participants to choose from multiple session options while still requiring completion of the foundational 2-hour Sessions 1, 2, and 3 in sequence. In addition to live sessions, participants will engage in asynchronous activities on the Canvas platform, to be completed before, between, and after the live components.
Educators who complete all course requirements will earn 1 professional development credit for 15 hours of engagement. Eligible participants may also receive stipends and classroom kits with materials to support implementation.
