Course Description

The Vandal Early Literacy Symposium (VELS) is intended to provide comprehensive grounding in the science of reading in order to improve literacy attainment in Idaho schools. Learning will be a combination of lecture and hands-on practice and discussion with the goal of increasing early elementary teachers' awareness, skills, and confidence with effective and systematic literacy instruction.

Prerequisites

Must be an elementary school educator.

Participants have completed the application and have been accepted to attend the Vandal Early Literacy Symposium.
