Do I need to be admitted as a student at the University of Idaho? (click to expand)
No. Admission to the University of Idaho is not required to enroll in courses on Keep Learning Idaho. Typically courses that are offered for Professional Development do not count towards a degree. Courses offered through Independent Study in Idaho may count toward a degree through the student's enrolled institution.
How do I search for a course? (click to expand)

Does my school District and/or State Department of Education need to pre-approve my courses? (click to expand)
Please check with YOUR State Department of Education and local school district to make sure they will accept University of Idaho Professional Development credits.
What is the cost for a course? (click to expand)
Course prices vary on Keep Learning and can be found on the course description page of courses that are available for registration.
Professional development courses are generally $60/credit unless otherwise noted. Some courses may have additional fees which will be listed in the Section description.

What is your refund policy? (click to expand)
Drop Request Deadlines and Refund policies are generally noted and agreed upon during registration, and are listed on each course registration page.
Professional development courses may be dropped and refunded within 14 days of enrollment in a course, unless otherwise noted.

Are professional development courses graduate level? (click to expand)
Professional development credits are graduate level, non-degree, semester credits typically offered to educators to acquire skills and knowledge for the purpose of certification renewal and salary advancement. One professional development credit is equivalent to 15 contact hours.
How will I know what grade I received? (click to expand)

Professional development courses use a (P) Pass / (F) Fail grading system. Grades are final once posted on your transcripts. No credits are awarded for any courses in which a F (Fail) is earned.
Incompletes - A grade of "Incomplete" is assigned only when the student has been in attendance and has done passing work up to a time within three weeks of the close of the semester, or within one week of the close of the summer session. It may be assigned only upon agreement of the student and course instructor when extenuating circumstances make it impossible for the student to complete course requirements on time. Will I receive an IRS 1098-T form? (click to expand)
Professional development course participants will not qualify for Form 1098-T because they are not applicable towards a degree.
Independent Study in Idaho course participants may receive IRS 1098-T form from the course sponsoring institution. Contact your course sponsoring institution (scroll to the bottom) for more information.
